Initiated by 22 year-old Christian “Lyric” Burton, the business was inspired by a desire to not just reimagine a more inclusive and sustainable reality, but to cultivate it in his city by making conscious consumption a more accessible practice.

Buying Black-Owned, Latinx-Owned, Indigenous-Owned, Eco-friendly, Sustainably (et cetera, et cetera) all at once required a substantial amount of time invested in research, trips to multiple stores, and extra dollars spent on shipping what couldn't be found locally. Sustain Pedal: Nashville is his answer to more efficiently integrate green value and minority entrepreneurship into our essential spending habits and self-care practices.
